The Messiah came in His Father’s name, yet He will not be received, but someone else will be received.

John 5:42-43 tells us this:

“But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.”

Who is the someone else?

Can the Messiah’s true name be ‘Jesus’?

Jesus is not a Hebrew name/word.

The English equivalent is Joshua.

How did all this confusion happen?

In 325AD Emperor Constantine of Rome gathered approximately three hundred bishops from across the Roman empire to Nicaea. Constantine’s intention was to create an entirely new god for his empire, thereby uniting all religious factions under one deity, and unifying his subjects.

About four years prior to chairing the council, Constantine had been initiated into the religious order of Sol Invictus, one of two thriving cults that regarded the sun as the one and only supreme god. Priests, deacons, sub deacons, acolytes and exorcists gathered in Nicaea to debate. They supported a great variety of eastern and western gods and goddesses. Their writings totaled over 2200 scrolls; tales of gods and saviors with a record of doctrines orated by them.

After months of balloting, a short list of five prospects emerged: Caesar, Krishna, Mithra, Horus and Zeus. Constantine, to involve British factions, ruled that the Druid god Hesus be joined with the Eastern saviour-god, Krishna (Krishna is Sanskrit for Christ). Thus, Hesus Krishna was proclaimed and “officially” ratified by Constantine to be the official name of the new Roman god.

There was no letter ‘J’ in alphabets until the ninth century, when the name evolved into Jesus Christ.
