Sabbath

His Holy Day

The holy Sabbath is His seal.

Sabbath is the seventh day of the week and is the holy Sabbath according to the Almighty Father, and as lived by his Son the Messiah.

If you are following the Messiah, you will keep and honor the 7th day Sabbath. The Messiah attended the synagogue and taught on the seventh day Sabbath, not Sunday.

Sabbath was kept by the disciples in the book of Acts 85 times.

The Sabbath is our SIGN that links us to our Creator.

The weekly Sabbath begins at dawn.

One day ends at dawn while the next day begins at dawn. He created, saw it was good, the evening the morning makes a day. See Genesis 1:3-31

The Sabbath is part of the 10 Commandments; the covenant of promise made at Horeb.

“And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.” Deuteronomy 4:13

The Almighty never changed it. “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” Psalm 89:34

Who changed it?

The Roman Emperor Constantine I changed it to Sunday. He called the Sun-deity: “Unconquered Sun, my companion.” His edict in the year 321 legislated the “venerable day of the Sun” to be a rest-day. This rest was commanded in honor of the Sun, and not in honor of Messiah, thus changing the day of worship from the Sabbath to the Sun-god day (please research for yourself: Council of Nicaea and also Laodicea).

More biblical proof the Sabbath is the seventh day:

“And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Genesis 2:3

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” Exodus 20:8-11

“Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.” Exodus 31:13-14

“It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever.”  Leviticus 16:31

“Ye shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:30

“Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.” Leviticus 23:3

“Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the Lord continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.” Leviticus 24:8

“Ye shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.” Lev 26:2

Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. Deuteronomy 5:12

And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy. Nehemiah 13:22

“Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.” Isaiah 56:2

“If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honorable; and shalt honor him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:” Isaiah 58:13

“Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.”  Jeremiah 17:22

“Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a SIGN between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.” Ezekiel 20:12

“Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.”  Ezekiel 20:16

“And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a SIGN between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.”  Ezekiel 20:20

“And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.” Matthew 12:11-12

“And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:” Mark 2:27

“And behold the commandment regarding the sabbath – I have written them down for you – and all the judgments of its laws. Six days shall you labor, but on the seventh day is the sabbath of Yahuah your Sovereign Ruler. In it you shall do no manner of work, you and your sons, and your men-servants and your maid-servants, and all your cattle and the sojourner also who is with you. And the man that does any work on it shall die: whoever desecrates that day, whoever lies with (his) wife, or whoever says he will do something on it, that he will set out on a journey thereon in regard to any buying or selling: and whoever draws water thereon which he had not prepared for himself on the sixth day, and whoever takes up any burden to carry it out of his tent or out of his house shall die. You shall do no work whatever on the sabbath day save what you have prepared for yourselves on the sixth day, so as to eat, and drink, and rest, and keep sabbath from all work on that day, and to bless Yahuah your Sovereign Ruler, who has given you a day of festival and a set apart day: and a day of the set apart kingdom for all Israel is this day among their days forever.”  Jubilees 50:8-11

Messiah taught in the synagogues on the Sabbath day. Follow Him.

“And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:16
